CASP, an Athens-based software company specialising in production planning and industrial digital solutions, set out to strengthen its AI-driven module for multi-robot task planning and resource orchestration. Through its collaboration with AI-MATTERS, CASP accessed advanced testing infrastructure and expert support, turning an innovative concept into a solution ready for real-world manufacturing environments.
Impact
Thanks to AI-MATTERS’ testbed services and technical expertise, CASP was able to:
- Cut system reconfiguration time from 1–2 months to just 5.5 hours for minor changes and a few days for full transitions.
- Achieve 100% collision avoidance, ensuring safe robot coordination.
- Increase resource utilisation to 85%, exceeding initial benchmarks.
- Deliver high reliability, with 96% motion planning accuracy and 100% system uptime during testing.
These results confirmed the robustness, scalability, and industrial relevance of CASP’s AI module.
The Challenge
For CASP, the key challenge was validating a sophisticated AI solution under realistic manufacturing conditions without the cost and complexity of building an in-house testing environment.

The Solution
Through the Greek Satellite hosted by the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation (LMS), AI-MATTERS provided CASP with access to a state-of-the-art piloting facility combining robotic systems, industrial sensors, and a digital twin framework.
