This online workshop is the first in a three-part stakeholder consultation series contributing to the European Commission’s upcoming Communication and Action Plan on a Digitally Powered Green Transition.
It will focus on the role of the Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) in enabling artificial intelligence (AI) to support the EU’s 2030 environmental goals. The discussion will address how high-quality, interoperable data can enhance AI-driven solutions for energy efficiency, resource optimization, and environmental monitoring, helping to advance both sustainability and competitiveness.

Participants will discuss:
- How to re-use data protected by intellectual property or confidentiality.
- Approaches to enabling the creation of large-scale, AI-ready datasets.
- The role of public authorities in generating, curating, and procuring data for green AI use cases.
- The workshop will feature five real-world use cases and a structured discussion with stakeholders across sectors.
