In partnership with CEA and AI-Matters—a European initiative that gives companies access to cutting-edge AI testing facilities, expert guidance, and applied research know-how—Efalia has developed a private artificial intelligence solution deployed in a closed-loop environment. This innovation is transforming the analysis and automatic generation of document templates, while ensuring absolute confidentiality and optimal compliance.

The Challenge
Efalia’s main hurdle was to leverage AI for automatic code generation, enabling faster, more consistent creation of document templates. They also needed expert guidance on understanding the limits and opportunities of AI in this domain, including the technical constraints of implementing an AI-based solution in production.
The Solution
Through AI-Matters, Efalia gained access to state-of-the-art testing facilities and experienced research engineers. Together, they defined a specific use case and developed a tailor-made automatic code generation solution. Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) were deployed to analyse PDF documents, extract their structure, and convert them into StarPage code validated by the Efalia compiler. This approach not only automated a complex process but also enabled rigorous testing and validation of AI models for production optimisation.
